Hi! I’m Maggie, the designer behind Sugarstone Quilts. Originally from Ghana, I stumbled upon my love for quilting back in 2020, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since. I love blending classic African textiles with the designs of modern quilting, creating pieces that reflect my personal journey and cultural heritage.
In my quilting journey, I’ve found a supportive community of fellow quilters who help and encourage one another. I aim to inspire others to tell their own stories through quilting, just as I have found joy in this art form. Through Sugarstone Quilts, my mission is to share my designs and motivate and guide others to embrace storytelling using fabric and thread.
About Sugarstone Quilts
At Sugarstone Quilts our quilt patterns blend modern quilting with traditional Ankara fabrics, creating one-of-a-kind designs. Our quilts piece together easily with our clear, step-by-step instructions, and are designed with beginners to intermediate quilters in mind. Each quilt pattern is crafted with care to teach quilting techniques while celebrating the beauty and symbolism of Ankara print fabrics, Ghanaian Kente cloth, and Adinkra symbols.
