Hard to believe we are over half way in March already! Saturday, March 21 is National Quilting Day in the United States! How do you plan on celebrating? The Quilt Alliance, co-coordinators of the day, recommend celebrating by labeling your quilts, and displaying your quilts.
At Sugarstone Quilts, we’re celebrating by offering 20% off all of our quilt patterns for the next few days, no coupon needed! This discount will run through Wednesday, March 25th.
We are also reflecting on the amazing quilts, people, and fabrics we experienced at QuiltCon2026. Check out our post-convention video below or on our YouTube channel.
Like the quilt coats featured in the video? I am working on a tutorial for the quilt block used to make the design for two of the jackets! It is a version of the Mended Broken Pot block, inspired by a motif often seen in Kente cloth. A variation of this block is also featured in my Calming the Storm, Healed Pathways, and Cradle Joy quilt patterns. Look out for the video and blog coming soon!

I hope you spend this National Quilting Day enjoying your favorite parts of the craft! Let me know your plans to celebrate in the comments!
